Impact of CBD on your body
Over the past decades and even more so in recent years, the legalization of cannabis has been the subject of much debate with very strong supporters on both sides of the debate. Unfortunately, the general public remains ill-informed and cannot answer many questions about cannabis.
The objective of this article is therefore to allow you to better understand on which part of our body cannabis acts exactly and why this plant is being legalized in more and more countries and in particular when it has a high CBD rate and a low THC level.
Natural regulation of your well-being
Our bodies have what is called the endocannabinoid system: a collection of cell receptors and molecules.
The molecules that are part of this system are called endocannabinoids and are naturally produced by our body. They are not only a natural part, but also a crucial part as they make you feel good, relaxed and induce a general sense of well-being. These molecules also have this name because they are very similar to those that can be found in cannabis such as CBD and THC.
The role of the endocannabinoid system is to keep your internal environment stable on all levels. It works through two types of cannabinoid receptors: CB1 and CB2. These receptors are sensitive to endocannabinoids and cannabinoids and interact with them when they exist.
CB1 affects our nervous system while CB2 affects our immune system. Through these receptors, our body regulates many important functions (see above).
Since cannabis can stimulate the activity of the endocannabinoid system, it is obvious why many assume that it can provide real benefits.
Impact of CBD
What is fascinating is that CBD absolutely does not stimulate the CB1 and CB2 receptors. What it does is that it stimulates our body's natural production of endocannabinoids and indirectly impacts CB1 and CB2 by stimulating other receptors. This slightly modifies the structure of CB1 and CB2 and makes the receptors more responsive to the presence of endocannabinoids.
Consuming CBD therefore creates a feeling of absolute happiness and has a great impact on your quality of life when used regularly. You will see a regularization of your sleep cycle, an improvement in your appetite, an improvement in your ability to concentrate among many other things that will be covered in later articles.
